Golf Irrigation Auditor Review (CGIA)
Learn how to perform field tests on irrigation systems to determine efficiency, as well as how to combine plant water use, soils and local weather data to calculate accurate water schedules for irrigation systems. This course Deals directly with the issue of wise water management. Exam registration is NOT included with class registration. This class is designed to prepare students for the Irrigation Association’s Certified Golf Irrigation Auditor (CGIA) exam. Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Calculate low quarter distribution uniformity (DU)
2. Identify hardware problems with irrigation systems that affect DU
3. Calculate irrigation frequency
4. Calculate precipitation rates
5. Locate local evapotranspiration rates
6. Calculate the plant water requirement and plant available water
7. Perform field tests correctly and complete the base schedule worksheet
