What is the benefit of the Rain Bird Online Training program?
The Rain Bird Online Training program is on-demand training designed to deliver in-depth technical training to customers anytime, anywhere.
What will I receive when I register for an Online Training Course?
When you register for the entire class for Decoder Technician, Residential Controller Technician, Landscape Valve Technician or IQ V3 Operator a student manual for that course will automatically be shipped to you. Please allow seven business days for the manual to arrive. You may register for an individual module; however, you will not receive a student manual just for that module.
How many people may view the online training course using the same registration link?
Rain Bird Online Training registrations are for a single person to view the class and the Rain Bird Factory Trained designation will only be available to the person listed during the registration process. Multiple registrations should be completed if you wish to train more than one person.
Will I Be Certified After taking a Rain Bird Online Training Class?
You will receive a Rain Bird Certificate when you complete a full class, a few weeks after taking any Rain Bird Online Training.
Can I Earn Continuing Education Credits By Taking Rain Bird Online Training Classes?

How are the Rain Bird Online Training Courses structured?
Each online training course is divided into training modules. Each training module is designed to cover a particular topic. For Rain Bird Factory Trained classes by completing all of the training modules within the course and passing an online examination you will earn a Rain Bird Factory Trained Designation. For Rain Bird Academy classes by completing all of the training modules within the course you will earn a Rain Bird a certificate of completion.
How many times can I take the online course or training module that I have paid for?
You will have up to three times to take each online course or training module that you have paid for.
How long will my online course that I have paid for be available?
The online courses that you have paid for will be available to you for up to one year.
Am I able to skip the online training modules and take the Rain Bird Factory Trained exam?
No, all training modules must be completed before the Rain Bird Factory Trained exam will be available.
What materials am I permitted to use when taking the Rain Bird Factory Trained exam?
You may use your student manual, any notes you have taken, the rainbird.com website, and any of the training modules to compete your exam, but the exam MUST be completed on your own. No other person may assist you with the exam or answer the questions for you.
How do I earn a Rain Bird Factory Trained designation online?
You can earn Rain Bird Factory Trained designations by completing the online training modules and passing an online examination.

• Agree to the code of ethics.
• Complete each training module and answer the review questions at the end of each training module.
• At the end of the course, you will be required to complete the online examination. You must score a 70% or higher in order to earn your designation.
• Upon completion of the exam, your score and an online .pdf version of your certificate will be available for immediate download.
• Approximately 3-4 weeks after attending the course and taking the online examination you will receive notification. If you received a 70% or higher on the written exam, you will receive a certificate and personalized Rain Bird Factory Trained designation mark to use in promoting yourself as Rain Bird Factory Trained
You will receive a renewal policy and guide on how to use the designation marks*.
*Designations are only awarded to an individual and not to a company. Designations are good for 3 years, at which time designation will need to be renewed.
